Donna's Bar and Grill Residency: The New Orleans Jazz Vipers

This Donna's Bar and Grill Residency show brings the New Orleans Jazz Vipers to Chickie Wah Wah for an evening of traditional jazz built for dancing. The band's repertoire reaches from Armstrong to Basie to Waller, delivered with the loose, swinging energy of the city where they were founded.

The Vipers are part of New Orleans history: they were the first band to play at the Spotted Cat Music Club, and after Hurricane Katrina they returned early to play in Jackson Square and, without electricity, at the club. Their song "Hope You're Coming Back" was featured in the HBO series Treme and its Grammy-nominated soundtrack.
