Grand Rapids Ballet: The Nutcracker

Grand Rapids Ballet presents a holiday classic, The Nutcracker, following Clara and her Nutcracker Prince through a journey from a festive party to a battle with mice, culminating in the Land of Sweets where the Sugar Plum Fairy presents dances from around the world, including the Waltz of the Flowers.

This production features choreography by Val Caniparoli, sets by Grand Rapids native Chris Van Allsburg and Tony Award-winner Eugene Lee, and Tchaikovsky's score performed live by the Grand Rapids Symphony. The combination of professional ballet and live orchestra distinguishes this annual event.
