Sofia’s Christmas season is a network of markets, not one market at Alexander Nevsky Square. The two best-known anchors are the German Christmas Market in City Garden and Sofia Christmas Fest in front of the National Palace of Culture (NDK).

Sofia Municipality’s 2025 programme placed Sofia Christmas Fest at NDK from 21 November to 28 December and the German market in City Garden from 14 November to 21 December. Those dates explain the usual pattern but are not 2026 confirmations.
