About Malta
Malta packs an outsized amount of history into a Mediterranean archipelago small enough to cross by bus in an hour: Baroque Valletta, prehistoric temples older than Stonehenge, and fortifications left by Phoenicians, Knights of St John and the British in turn. The vibe is sun-bleached and unhurried, with limestone towns tumbling down to turquoise coves and dive sites in wrecks and caves. English is an official language, which makes it an easy, low-friction destination for a short or long stay. Go for the history and the diving, stay for the honey-coloured light on old stone.

مالطا أرخبيل متوسطي مدمج تتجاور فيه 7000 عام من التاريخ مع بعض أصفى مياه السباحة في أوروبا. كل شيء قريب: شوارع فاليتا الباروكية، والعاصمة القديمة الصامتة مدينا، وجزيرة غوزو الشقيقة المسترخية، كلها على بُعد قفزة قصيرة، والإنجليزية لغة رسمية.
الجزر مصممة للسباحة والغوص والمشي الساحلي أكثر من الجبال — فالتضاريس منخفضة وصخرية. سليما وسانت جوليانز هما المركزان العصريان للمطاعم والحياة الليلية، ومارساشلوك هي رحلة اليوم الكلاسيكية إلى قرية الصيادين، فيما تقدّم غوزو وكومينو الصغيرة (البحيرة الزرقاء) شواطئ البطاقات البريدية.
