The Cyprus Backyard Ultra is an internationally recognized ultramarathon held annually in Larnaca. Runners complete 6.7 km loops on the hour, every hour—the race continues until only one competitor remains. The format draws 100+ athletes from around the world, all testing their limits on scenic trail routes with natural terrain and panoramic views.
Set in the Oroklini Picnic Area, the course is spectator-friendly despite its challenging elevation. Participants must finish each loop within the allotted hour or face elimination. It's a unique endurance event you won't find anywhere else on the island.
