Two Springs: Yang Tang Solo Exhibition

الخميس، 2 يوليو 2026 04:00 م – 06:00 م

نظرة عامة

Two Springs spans 10,000 km, from peach blossoms in rural China to digital studies of Malta’s wild flowers — a quiet shift in how we look at the world.

This exhibition brings together two groups of works made in different places and at different times. The first are paintings of peach blossoms from China — images that form a space, with a quiet sense of centre and presence. The second presents around 60 small works focusing on wild flowers from Malta. For half the year, these plants cover the island — across fields and along roads. They are often viewed as a whole, but rarely looked at individually. Each work in this exhibition focuses on a single plant.

As a viewing experience, the exhibition shifts not only the object seen, but also how we frame our gaze — from building an image, to staying with what is already there. The exhibition takes place in July, when Malta is bright and exposed. Inside, the works hold a different season — slower, darker, more intimate. Visitors are invited to slow down, let the eye adjust, and stay a little longer with what is there.
