Organiser and opening hours

Taiko, a.s. is listed as the organiser (organizátor) of the Old Town Square market and of the Wenceslas Square market on the Prague City Tourism event pages. The Old Town Square page gives trhypraha.cz as the event website.

Stalls on Old Town Square are open daily from 10:00 to 22:00. On Christmas Eve (Thursday 24 December) they are open from 10:00 to 14:00, and on 25 and 26 December (Friday and Saturday) from 12:00 to 22:00. The Wenceslas Square market publishes the same hours.

Old Town Square

Kudy z nudy names Old Town Square as the place to visit the largest Christmas markets in Prague. The Christmas tree on the square is animated every day at half past the hour from 16:30 to 21:30.

In 2025 the square had 82 sales points, including charity stalls. The stalls sell Czech Christmas baubles and ornaments made of glass, straw, ceramics, wood, beads and other materials. Food listed for this market includes sausages made from Czech meat and classic Czech trdelník, and mulled wine from the Chateau Valtice winery is on offer.

In 2024 Prague took first place in a ranking by the news site U.S. News as the most beautiful Christmas place in the world, according to Kudy z nudy.

Wenceslas Square

The Wenceslas Square market stands along the lower part of the square, where wooden houses combine traditional crafts with modern gastronomy. It runs on the same dates and hours as the Old Town Square market. Kudy z nudy lists stalls with Czech dishes and drinks.

• Airport: Prague Airport recommends bus line 59 (Nádraží Veleslavín to Terminal 1/Terminal 2), which connects to metro line A, or bus line 100 (Zličín to Terminal 1/Terminal 2), which connects to metro line B, for the fastest public-transport connection.
