Sonderkonzerte - Halloween im Turm in Leipzig, 31 October 2026

Sonderkonzerte - Halloween im Turm is a Halloween concert for the whole family at MDR Studio in Leipzig on 31 October 2026, 15:00. The MDR-Kinderchor performs a programme of spooky music, conducted by Alexander Schmitt. The programme includes monster songs, a witches' dance, Dracula Rock and other eerie pieces.

The songs are populated by wolves, haunting ghosts, wandering spirits and many other shady figures. The choir is accompanied by an unusual set of instruments that brings the ghosts and creatures to life. The audience is asked to help out so that the concert becomes properly frightening.

The musicians are Jonas Timm on piano, Lukas Diller on flute and saxophone, Hannes Malkowski on drums, Lorenz Heigenhuber on double bass and Kristina Lösche-Löwensen on theremin. Karina Schoenbeck-Götz hosts. Tickets start at EUR 25, and a discount is available.
