In Children’s Town, Helsinki’s past is illustrated by means of play and joint activities. Entrance to Children’s Town is always free of charge. Near the Senate Square, in the oldest city blocks of Helsinki, you can find the blue-grey Sederholm House, built in 1757. It is the oldest house in Helsinki. Children’s Town is a visitor destination at the Helsinki City Museum on Aleksanterinkatu 16. It sits alongside displays such as the Helsinki Exhibition and the Unknown Suburb, and the museum regularly updates its programme to keep visits fresh.
The programme includes film showings like the Fascinating Film Garden, guided tours of the Helsinki Exhibition, Night of the Arts walking tours and Runokuu Poetry Moon poetry walks.
