Ħad-Dingli celebrates the Feast of the Assumption of Our Lady on Saturday 22 August 2026. The festa centres on a procession carrying the statue of Our Lady through streets hung with lights, bunting and religious decorations, led by a marching band club.
Food stalls sell qubbajt (nougat), imqaret (fried date pastries) and other Maltese specialities through the day. Mid-August is the peak of Malta's festa season, with several villages holding their titular feasts within the same fortnight.
Fireworks — both ground-based petards and aerial displays — mark the close of the day.
