Birkirkara is roughly central on Malta and one of the best-connected towns on the island by bus, making it an easy add-on rather than a standalone beach or nightlife base. The main draw for visitors is the Farsons Brewery, producer of Cisk lager since 1928, which hosts brewery tours as well as the summer beer festival.
