Why visit Lublin

Lublin is one of Poland's most historically layered cities without the crowds of Kraków — the Old Town's mix of Gothic gates and Renaissance townhouses sits alongside a genuinely moving Jewish-heritage story told at the Grodzka Gate, and the castle's Byzantine-style frescoes are a rare survival in Catholic Poland.

It is also a major student city with a lively modern events scene, from touring rock and metal shows at Fabryka Kultury Zgrzyt to the Centrum Spotkania Kultur's concert and theatre programme, and each June the whole Old Town turns over to Noc Kultury, an all-night, city-wide arts event.
