Mirna Bamieh: Kabsh Qrunfol at Hangar

Palestinian artist Mirna Bamieh presents *Kabsh Qrunfol*, an installation that revives a nearly lost tradition from Palestine: the collective creation of bridal necklaces made from cloves, believed to offer protection and a promise of a bright future. The exhibition features a series of paintings, suspended ceramic sculptures, and a film shot in Palestine, showing women gathering to sing and work together on these necklaces.

The film and installation as a whole inspire new songs that open toward the future, creating space for care, continuity, shared gestures of creation, and everyday acts of persistence. The work is curated by Jule Kurbjeweit and spans ceramics, sculpture, installation, painting, and video.
