The Growlers bring a California-rooted sound to Portland. The band started in the Orange County beach town of Dana Point and has developed a blend of surf, pop, rock and beat that they call Beach Goth. With seven albums behind them, their set can range from lo-fi early material to more polished later records.
The Growlers have toured with artists such as The Black Keys, Devendra Banhart and Julian Casablancas, and they have appeared at Coachella, Bonnaroo, Primavera Sound and other festivals.
