Nurse John: Against Medical Advice Tour

The Nurse John: Against Medical Advice Tour stops at Mershon Auditorium in Columbus on 23 October 2026, 19:30, with Nurse John on stage. An age limit of 18+ is suggested but not required. Nurse John is the professional name of John Dela Cruz, a Filipino-Canadian comedian and social media content creator. He began making content while working as a nurse at a hospital in South Shore, Montreal, during the COVID-19 pandemic, and he quit nursing two years into the pandemic due to burnout. His videos on TikTok show him simulating nurse-patient situations and dancing and singing to patients to make them take their medication. He moved to Los Angeles in 2024 to commit to a career in stand-up comedy. His earlier comedy tour, Short-Staffed, grew out of his burnout as a frontline healthcare worker and had stops in Canada, Europe, Australia, the Philippines and New Zealand. He has also appeared in Netflix Is a Joke and Just for Laughs. There is no elevator to the balcony, which is reached by stairs.
