Paul Thorn is an American singer-songwriter whose music blends blues, country, and rock with a Southern rock foundation. Before his music career, Thorn was a professional boxer, winning the Mid-South Middleweight Championship in Memphis and even facing former world champion Roberto Durán. His transition to music began in a Tupelo furniture factory before he was discovered at a local pizza shop, leading to an opening slot for Sting and a recording contract with A&M Records.

Thorn's albums have been both self-released and self-produced with partner Billy Maddox. His 2010 album "Pimps and Preachers" debuted at No. 83 on the Billboard 200, while 2018's "Don't Let the Devil Ride" topped the Billboard Blues Albums Chart. That album features gospel covers with guests like the Blind Boys of Alabama and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band. Thorn has toured with a diverse roster of artists including Huey Lewis & the News, John Prine, and Bonnie Raitt.
