Rango: Animated Western Adventure

A theatrical-minded pet chameleon is stranded in the Mojave Desert and becomes the unlikely sheriff of a parched frontier town inhabited by animals. The animated Western, directed by Gore Verbinski, follows the chameleon—voiced by Johnny Depp—as he faces off against Old West-style villains and a town desperate for water.

Voices come from Isla Fisher, Abigail Breslin, Alfred Molina, Bill Nighy, and Timothy Olyphant, among others. The story is steeped in references to classic Westerns, and the film won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature.
