USF Jazztet & Latin Jazztet

The USF Jazztet and the USF Latin Jazztet join forces for an evening of small-group jazz with two distinct personalities. Under LaRue Nickelson's direction, the USF Jazztet features the university's top student performers, while the USF Latin Jazztet, led by Mauricio Rodriguez, explores Latin American musical traditions and influences.

The combined program reflects both the rigor of a university jazz program and the infectious energy of Latin American rhythms. It's a chance to hear young musicians stretching out in an intimate combo setting, celebrating the breadth of the jazz tradition.
