War with Tower of Power

Tower of Power brings its Oakland-bred horn sound to Tucson for a co-headlining show with War. Formed in 1968, the band has been a presence in American R&B and funk for decades, charting with songs like 'What Is Hip?' and 'So Very Hard to Go.' Their horn section has also appeared on records by artists including Santana, Elton John, Eric Clapton, and Stevie Nicks.

The band's story includes a dramatic moment when two members were struck by a train before a show and later recovered. The current show pairs the horn-driven ensemble with War for a joint performance.
