Pianist and composer Yoko Miwa, named a Rising Star by DownBeat polls, leads a trio that has earned standing ovations worldwide. Their performances blend hard-swinging bebop with lyrical introspection, drawing on originals and inventive covers of classic rock songs.
Audiences can expect the tight interplay of bassist Will Slater and drummer Scott Goulding, who together create an infectious energy that fills the room. The trio's acclaimed albums, including the #1 charting Songs of Joy, showcase Miwa's artistry and the group's uncanny camaraderie. The trio's 2021 release Songs of Joy reached number one on national jazz radio charts and was voted a best jazz album of the year.

Yoko Miwa
Yoko Miwa is a jazz pianist best known for her work with the Yoko Miwa Trio and her appearances on the Boston jazz scene. Miwa, who was born in Kobe, Japan, attended Osaka College of Music, Koyo Conservatory and Berklee College of Music, where she now teaches.
