Arlo Parks, born Anaïs Oluwatoyin Estelle Marinho on August 9, 2000, in Hammersmith, west London, is a British singer-songwriter of Nigerian, Chadian and French descent. Her music blends indie pop and indie folk with R&B influences, shaped by artists such as Elliott Smith, Radiohead and Joni Mitchell.

Über Arlo Parks

She began uploading demos to BBC Music Introducing in 2018 and released her debut single, "Cola", in November of that year, quickly building momentum through a string of independent releases. Her debut album, Collapsed in Sunbeams, arrived in 2021 and peaked at number three on the UK Albums Chart, followed by My Soft Machine in 2023 and Ambiguous Desire in 2026.

Parks won the 2021 Mercury Prize for Collapsed in Sunbeams, was named Best New Artist at the 2021 Brit Awards, and had earlier been named BBC Introducing Artist of the Year in 2020. She has also received a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist and wrote on Beyoncé's 2024 track "Ya Ya". Now based in Los Angeles, she continues to write, record and perform, including collaborations with artists such as Phoebe Bridgers.
