Coheed and Cambria
Coheed and Cambria is an American rock band formed in March 1995 in Nyack, New York, by singer, guitarist and primary songwriter Claudio Sanchez and guitarist Travis Stever. The band performed under the names Beautiful Loser and Shabutie before adopting its current name, drawn from characters in a science-fiction narrative, The Amory Wars, that Sanchez created to frame much of the group's material.

Über Coheed and Cambria
Several of the band's albums form chapters of that concept, including the 2002 debut The Second Stage Turbine Blade and In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3 (2003), which went gold. Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV, Volume One (2005) became the band's commercial breakthrough, reaching number seven on the Billboard 200, while its 2007 sequel reached number six. The band has also won an MTVu Woodie Award, a Metal Hammer Golden Gods Award and a Kerrang! Award.
The lineup has shifted repeatedly around the Sanchez-Stever core: bassist Michael Todd departed after a 2011 arrest, drummer Josh Eppard has left and returned more than once, and Chris Pennie briefly played drums in 2007. Bassist Zach Cooper joined in 2012, giving the band its longest-serving configuration of Sanchez, Stever, Eppard and Cooper.
The band released its eleventh studio album, Vaxis, Act III: The Father of Make Believe, in 2025, continuing the multi-part Vaxis storyline it began in 2018, and has kept up an active touring schedule alongside acts such as Mastodon and Periphery.
