Daily Bread
Daily Bread is the stage name of Rhett Whatley, an American electro-soul and hip-hop producer from Atlanta, Georgia. He grew up on Atlanta's east side, learning drums in elementary school and guitar in middle school, and began producing music around 2014 after a knee injury ended his college wakeboarding career. He taught himself production on a broken MPC 2000 bought from Craigslist, drawing on his mother's inherited vinyl collection and dollar-bin finds.

Über Daily Bread
His sample-based sound blends electro-soul and hip-hop with the crunk energy of Atlanta's music scene, citing influences including Michael Menert, Pretty Lights and Eliot Lipp alongside Atlanta rap acts. After submitting demos to Philos Records founder Jordan Wengler, he signed with the label and released the album On the Daily in February 2017.
Whatley has released four full-length albums since 2014, including the concept record Navigator, Standby, which incorporates vintage science-fiction recordings to explore experiences from touring. He has opened for artists including G Jones and Pretty Lights and built a dedicated following in Denver's electro-soul scene, performing at venues such as Red Rocks and festivals including Sonic Bloom.
