Dynamo is the stage name of Steven Frayne, an English magician born 17 December 1982 in Bradford, West Yorkshire. He adopted the name in 2001 while performing at a centenary celebration for Harry Houdini in New York, then moved to London in 2004, where street-magic videos featuring collaborations with musicians such as Coldplay and Snoop Dogg brought him early recognition online.

Über Dynamo

His television series Dynamo: Magician Impossible ran for four seasons between 2011 and 2014, reaching more than 30 million viewers in the UK and an estimated 250 million worldwide. His Seeing Is Believing arena tour sold over 750,000 tickets across the UK, Australia, South Africa and New Zealand, and later specials include Dynamo Is Dead (2023) and Miracles (2024). He received the Magic Circle's Maskelyne Award in 2016 and the Academy of Magical Arts' Magician of the Year award in 2015.
