Happy Mondays
Happy Mondays are an English band formed in Salford in 1980, fronted by brothers Shaun Ryder (vocals) and Paul Ryder (bass), alongside Gaz Whelan, Paul Davis, Mark Day and dancer/percussionist Mark "Bez" Berry. The group became one of the defining acts of the Madchester scene, fusing indie guitar pop with the rhythms of house music, funk and northern soul.

Über Happy Mondays
Their albums Bummed (1988) and Pills 'n' Thrills and Bellyaches (1990) brought them to a national audience, with singles "Step On" and "Kinky Afro" both reaching number five on the UK singles chart. The band split in 1993 and has reformed several times since, most recently touring with its original lineup.
