Juanes
Juanes, born Juan Esteban Aristizábal Vásquez on August 9, 1972, in Medellín, Colombia, is a Colombian singer-songwriter and guitarist. He began playing piano at age two and guitar at seven, and at seventeen formed the rock band Ekhymosis, which released eight albums before disbanding in 1998.

Über Juanes
His solo debut, Fíjate Bien (2000), earned three Latin Grammy Awards, and he built on that success with Un Día Normal (2002), Mi Sangre (2004), and La Vida... Es Un Ratico (2007), which produced international hits including "A Dios le Pido" and "La Camisa Negra." He has since released additional studio albums including Origen (2021) and Vida Cotidiana (2023).
Juanes has won more than 27 Latin Grammy Awards and two Grammy Awards and has sold more than 15 million records worldwide. In 2019 the Latin Recording Academy named him Person of the Year, honoring his artistry alongside his humanitarian work.
Through his Fundación Mi Sangre and the Paz Sin Fronteras initiative, he works with Colombian victims of anti-personnel landmines and broader peacebuilding efforts, work that has included a 2006 performance at the European Parliament and recognition as a Knight in France's Order of Arts and Letters.
