Über Ryan Beatty
After a three-year break tied to management disputes, Beatty returned in 2016 with the singles "Passion" and "Stay Gold" and publicly came out as gay the same year. His albums Boy in Jeans (2018), Dreaming of David (2020), Calico (2023) and Sweet Fortune (2026) trace a shift from teen-pop beginnings toward alternative R&B, indie pop and indie folk.
He has collaborated extensively with Brockhampton and appeared on Tyler, the Creator's Igor (2019), and co-wrote four songs on Beyoncé's Cowboy Carter (2024), which won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year.
His recent work is marked by intimate, confessional songwriting and a more self-directed approach to production than his early major-label releases.
