Über SiM
The band's sound blends nu metal, metalcore, ska punk and reggae rock, delivered largely in English-language lyrics with a confrontational, high-energy attitude that has set the group apart within Japan's rock scene. Their catalogue includes the albums Seeds of Hope (2011), Pandora (2013), which reached number five on the Oricon chart, The Beautiful People (2016), Thank God, There Are Hundreds of Ways to Kill Enemies (2020), which peaked at number two on Oricon, and Playdead (2023).
SiM reached a new international audience with the 2022 single "The Rumbling," used as the opening theme for Attack on Titan: The Final Season Part 2. The track topped Billboard's Hot Hard Rock Songs chart and won recognition at the 2023 Crunchyroll Anime Awards, expanding the band's profile well beyond Japan and feeding into subsequent world tours, including the Playdead World Tour and the Hooman World Tour.
