Nu Civilisation Orchestra: The Stuart Hall Project, London

Nu Civilisation Orchestra: The Stuart Hall Project is a live film and music event at Union Chapel in London on 9 November 2026, 19:30. Tomorrow's Warriors presents John Akomfrah's 'The Stuart Hall Project' with Miles Davis' soundtrack performed live. Peter Edwards and a five-piece Nu Civilisation Orchestra Ensemble, featuring Mark Kavuma on trumpet, honour Miles Davis 100 years since his birth.

Akomfrah's 2013 documentary is a portrait of Stuart Hall, co-founder of New Left Review, and uses archival footage and Hall's own reflections to explore identity, race and belonging. The live music of Miles Davis is performed to accompany each chapter of the film.

Tickets start from GBP 35. The evening is an AGMP Concerts presentation.
