The U2 Experience

The U2 Experience brings the spirit of one of rock's most iconic bands to St Helens. This event recreates the atmosphere of U2's legendary Innocence + Experience Tour, which originally visited arenas worldwide in 2015. Attendees can expect a show structured around the band's autobiographical narrative of innocence passing into experience, with a fixed first half and a varying second half separated by an intermission—a first for U2 concerts.

The production features a stage spanning the length of the venue floor, including a rectangular segment representing innocence, a smaller circular B-stage representing experience, and a connecting walkway. A 96-foot-long double-sided video screen hangs above the walkway, with an interior catwalk allowing performers to move amidst video projections. The sound system is arranged in an oval overhead to evenly distribute sound throughout the arena.

The tour originally grossed over $152 million from 1.29 million attendees, with the North American leg alone grossing $76.2 million from 36 sold-out concerts. The final Paris show was filmed for a live video and broadcast on HBO.
