Clint Black With Midland Band

Clint Black brings a long country songbook to the stage, joined by Midland. The voice behind a debut album that produced four straight number one singles, Black built a chart career that put more than thirty songs on the Billboard country lists, thirteen of them reaching the top.

His roots run through the traditional-country revival of the early 1980s, inspired by George Strait and Reba McEntire and the older style of George Jones and Merle Haggard. He spent years singing in lounges, working construction, cutting bait, and guiding fishing trips before his chart run, and much of his signature sound came from a songwriting partnership with guitarist Hayden Nicholas — his debut record was made with his road band rather than session players.
