Alle Details lesen
PawPaw Rod brings his genre-fluid blend of hip-hop, 60s soul, funk, and alternative to The Independent in San Francisco. The Hawaii-born, Oklahoma-raised rapper and singer grew up moving between military bases, taking early inspiration from Maxwell, Prince, The Gap Band, and Bill Withers before first performing in church. His catalog spans four EPs, and his music has been featured in series like Outer Banks, Platonic, and Insecure.
Chicago rapper femdot. opens the night, bringing sharp storytelling and a community-driven approach shaped by projects like 94 Camry Music and the Free Samples series. Together, the two artists make for an evening of eclectic hip-hop and soul in an intimate room.
