Mozart & Brahms: Tucson Symphony Orchestra

The Tucson Symphony Orchestra, led by José Luis Gómez, performs works by Mozart and Brahms with violinist Paul Huang. The program includes Mozart’s Symphony No. 40, completed on 25 July 1788, one of only two Mozart symphonies in a minor key.

Brahms, a devoted admirer of Mozart, acquired the autograph score of the symphony in the 1860s and later donated it to the Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde in Vienna. The concert also features Brahms’ own orchestral compositions.

The Tucson Symphony Orchestra’s musicians and Paul Huang’s performance bring these classical works to life.
