Arrival of the Village at Ballhaus Naunynstraße, Berlin

Arrival of the Village is a performance by Magda Korsinsky at Ballhaus Naunynstraße in Berlin on Monday, 21 December 2026, at 20:00. Tickets start at EUR 15.40. The performance is in German, English and French, with German and English surtitles.

Three performers work in a space created specially for the production. The starting point is a set of interviews that Magda Korsinsky conducted with Black and queer people. The piece centres on inherited role models and childhood experiences, economic pressure and structural injustice, love and anger, shared responsibility, and healing models of relationship.

The performers combine lived experience with movement, rap and song. Magda Korsinsky, a choreographer who works documentary-style, searches with her team for changed relationships, as an alternative to the heteronormative nuclear family. Arrival of the Village is her fifth work at Ballhaus Naunynstraße.

Ballhaus Naunynstraße in Berlin-Kreuzberg was founded in 2008 by Shemin Langhoff. Since 2013 it has been led by Wagner Carvalho.
