MARK EITZEL - Support: Our Man In The Field in Hamburg

Mark Eitzel performs at Nochtspeicher, Bernhard-Nocht-Str. 69a, 20359 Hamburg, on Sunday 14 March 2027 at 20:00. Support comes from Our Man In The Field.

The event is presented by Nochtspeicher GbR, Bernhard-Nocht-Straße 69a, 20359 Hamburg, Deutschland. Mark Eitzel (American Music Club) is coming to Germany for his first tour in ten years. He will present older American Music Club classics, which will also be included on a box set planned for release in 2027, along with songs from earlier solo albums and tracks from a new vinyl EP.

Over his career, both with American Music Club and as a solo artist, Mark Eitzel has released more than 17 albums of his own material. The newspaper The Guardian called him "Amerikas größten lebenden Songtexter", and Rolling Stone once named him "Songwriter des Jahres". The band AMC, originally founded in 1983, released seven albums before breaking up in 1995.

In 2004 the band reunited for two more albums, Love Songs for Patriots and The Golden Age. While working on his last solo album in April 2012, Eitzel suffered a heart attack, which forced him to slow down and delayed the album's release. Over the past seven years Mark has devoted himself mainly to composing music for the playwright Simon Stephens and to work on the reissues of American Music Club, whose release is planned for 2027.

The old Nochtspeicher in Hamburg has open brick walls and old wooden beams. The 160-year-old Nochtspeicher, near the Landungsbrücken, formerly served as a distillery and an erotic art museum; today live concerts and events of all kinds take place there. The Nochtspeicher hosts indie, swing and country, as well as poetry slam or dance events.

Directly in the basement is the Nochtwache, where parties and events also take place. The vaulted cellar near the Kiez in St. Pauli hosts live performances and events every weekend.
