The malt factory stands near Südkreuz station, directly on the "Dresdener Bahn", and belonged to the former Schultheiss brewery. The site shows industrial culture from the 1920s to the 1990s.

The main building is still unused, and its original fittings are largely preserved, so the principle of a malting house can be shown there. The grounds are developed as an event location and have plenty of open space.
