Kiasma Online Art is the web extension of Kiasma’s Collection. It is an internet experience and tribute to today’s online art-makers. A growing amount of art is being created exclusively for online environments, social media platforms, blogs and mobile apps. Kiasma Online Art is a compendium of topical online works by contemporary artists. Kiasma Online Art is the web extension of the Finnish contemporary art museum Kiasma, making part of its collection available on your screen. The online space offers both video works and interactive pieces — from Joonas Hyvönen’s Mehen and Irene Suosalo’s Nonsense Reality to Rachel Maclean’s Let it Go – part 5. Whether you watch a time-based piece or click through an interactive project, the experience is designed to be explored at your own pace.

As part of the Finnish National Gallery’s national collection, the online art sits within a larger body of more than 42,000 works. It’s a chance to see contemporary Finnish and international art from the 1970s onwards without leaving home, and a way to connect with Kiasma’s curatorial vision beyond the museum walls.
