Fisherman's Friends at The Apex, Bury St. Edmunds

Fisherman's Friends play The Apex in Bury St. Edmunds on 24 April 2027 at 19:00. Tickets start at GBP 32.45. The group is a folk music act from Port Isaac, Cornwall, who sing sea shanties.

They have performed locally since 1995 and signed a record deal with Universal Music Group in March 2010. Essentially an a cappella group, their studio recordings and live shows now often include traditional simple instrumentation. Their repertoire covers shanties and other nautical songs.

Because the band is semi-professional, they do not tour extensively, but usually embark on short tours in November and February/March. They have appeared at the Glastonbury Festival on several occasions and at the Cambridge Folk Festival.
