Physical Landscape by John Scott's Irish Modern Dance Theatre

Physical Landscape by John Scott's Irish Modern Dance Theatre is a dance production at Project Arts Centre in Dublin from 27 to 31 October 2026. Choreographer John Scott and Irish Modern Dance Theatre make the piece with six international dancers. It responds to ecology and nature and explores the themes of 'the other' and 'the witness'.

The central idea is a large on-stage play with letters of the alphabet. The letters relate to environmental issues and are driven by dance triggers that are part of the piece. The work includes duets and ensemble pieces, and the audience sits close to the duets.

The performance lasts 50 minutes and is staged in the Upstairs space. The cast is Adam O'Reilly, Alessandra Azeviche, Boris Charrion, Favour Odusola, François Malbranque and Magdalena Hylak. The composer is Jürgen Simpson.

The preview is on 27 October at 19:30, the opening is on 28 October at 19:30, and performances on 29 to 31 October start at 19:30. A post-show discussion takes place on Thursday 29 October 2026 at 20:30. The preview costs 18 euros, and performances cost 22 or 20 euros.
