Luz Velada is a collaborative exhibition by sculptors Ana Albuquerque and Sofia Castro, conceived specifically for the gallery and sacristy of Igreja de Nossa Senhora da Conceição a Velha in Lisbon. The show traces a path marked by a well, a door, and a fountain, inviting visitors to explore ideas of (in)visibility through works in paper, graphite, hair, and other materials.

The exhibition engages with the church's layered history—from its foundation and destruction in the 1755 earthquake to its reconstruction—echoing architectural details and historical moments. Visitors can discover diverse approaches to observation and reflection across different scales and interventions.

Guided tours with the artists are available on select dates, offering deeper insight into the creative process and the site-specific installations. The venue itself, a historic monument, adds a profound backdrop to this thoughtful artistic dialogue.
