José Pedro Croft: Reflexos, Enclaves, Desvios

This exhibition brings together a selection of prints, drawings, reliefs and sculptures by José Pedro Croft, one of the leading figures in the revival of Portuguese sculpture. Curated by Luiz Camillo Osório, the show traces the artist's ongoing investigation into body, scale, space and architecture, exploring the boundaries between the flat plane and three-dimensionality.

Organised around two interconnected axes — graphic making and constructive tradition, formal rigour and sensory experience — the display invites visitors to slow down and reconsider the relationship between artwork, space and perception. Croft's geometric works are held in major international collections including the Centre Pompidou in Paris and the Museo Reina Sofía in Madrid.

The exhibition unfolds across the galleries of MAC/CCB in Belém, offering a contemplative journey through the artist's practice. Guided tours are available, providing deeper insight into the conceptual framework behind the pieces.
