Barenaked Ladies
Barenaked Ladies is a Canadian rock band formed in 1988 in Scarborough, Ontario, by Ed Robertson and Steven Page after the pair met at a Peter Gabriel concert. The lineup expanded by 1990 to include bassist Jim Creeggan, his brother Andy Creeggan on keyboards and percussion, and drummer Tyler Stewart.

About Barenaked Ladies
The band's self-titled 1991 cassette became the first independent release to receive a gold certification in Canada, and its 1992 debut album, Gordon, established the group as a national act. International success followed with Stunt (1998), whose single "One Week" reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100, and Maroon (2000), led by the top-five hit "Pinch Me." Barenaked Ladies has sold more than 15 million records, earned multiple Juno Awards and two Grammy nominations, and was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 2018.
Andy Creeggan left in 1995, replaced by keyboardist Kevin Hearn. The band's sound broadened from acoustic pop into rock, hip-hop-influenced wordplay, and orchestral arrangements. Co-founder Steven Page departed in 2009 "by mutual agreement," leaving Robertson as principal singer and songwriter. In the 2010s the band also wrote and performed the theme song for the sitcom The Big Bang Theory.
The current quartet of Robertson, Jim Creeggan, Stewart, and Hearn continues to tour and record, having released fourteen studio albums of original material, most recently In Flight in 2023.
