Cincinnati Bearcats Women's Volleyball
Cincinnati Bearcats women's volleyball is the intercollegiate volleyball program of the University of Cincinnati, competing in NCAA Division I. The program has been a member of the Big 12 Conference since July 2023, following stints in the American Athletic Conference (2013-2022), the Big East Conference (2005-2013), and Conference USA, which it helped found in 1995.

About Cincinnati Bearcats Women's Volleyball
The program's signature achievement came in 2019, when Cincinnati advanced to the NCAA tournament's Sweet Sixteen round, the first time a school from the American Athletic Conference had reached that stage, before falling to Penn State in five sets. That run was led by outside hitter Jordan Thompson, a three-time unanimous AAC Player of the Year and two-time AVCA All-American who finished her career as the program's all-time leader in kills and seventh in NCAA history.
Thompson played for the Bearcats from 2015 to 2019, anchoring the offense through the program's rise within the American Athletic Conference. Earlier in the program's history, assistant coach Erin Virtue helped guide Cincinnati to a 101-36 record over four seasons between 2007 and 2010, part of a longer competitive stretch that preceded the team's move into the Big 12.
As of the mid-2020s, Cincinnati fields its volleyball program as one of ten women's sports within a Division I athletic department of eighteen varsity teams, competing annually in Big 12 Conference play.
