About Courtney Barnett
She drew early international attention with the compilation The Double EP: A Sea of Split Peas in 2013, which included "Avant Gardener", named Best New Track by Pitchfork that year. Her debut full-length album, Sometimes I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit, followed in 2015 to widespread critical acclaim, featuring singles such as "Pedestrian at Best" and "Depreston".
Barnett has since released Lotta Sea Lice, a 2017 collaborative album with Kurt Vile, along with the solo records Tell Me How You Really Feel (2018), Things Take Time, Take Time (2021) and Creature of Habit (2026). She won four ARIA Awards in 2015, including Breakthrough Artist and Best Female Artist, and has received a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist and a Brit Award nomination for International Female Solo Artist.
