The show reimagines the climate crisis as a romantic relationship between Earth and Humanity, tracing their courtship and eventual breakup through an original pop score.

About Hot Mess A New Musical
Hot Mess premiered at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2025, where it won the Scotsman Fringe First Award and the Musical Theatre Review Best Musical Award; Godfrey and Coote also received the Popcorn Writing Award. The production subsequently ran at Southwark Playhouse before transferring to The Other Palace in London.
