About Kim Wilde
Her 1981 debut single, Kids in America, reached number two in the UK and remains her signature song. A cover of the Supremes' You Keep Me Hangin' On topped the US Billboard Hot 100 in 1987, making her the fifth British woman to reach number one there.
She charted twenty-five singles in the UK Top 50 between 1981 and 1996, more than any other British female solo artist of the decade, and continues to record and tour.
