Mr. Serv-On, born Corey Smith on September 18, 1969, in New Orleans, Louisiana, is an American rapper associated with the dirty south and Memphis hip hop scenes. A high school friend of Master P, he became one of the first artists signed to Master P's No Limit Records.
His debut album, Life Insurance, released in August 1997, reached number 23 on the Billboard 200 and number 5 on the R&B albums chart. His 1999 follow-up, Da Next Level, went further, topping the R&B chart and earning a platinum certification.
After leaving No Limit Records in 2000, Mr. Serv-On founded his own label, Lifetyme Entertainment, and continued releasing music independently through the 2010s, though later projects did not chart nationally. He also appeared in the films I'm Bout It (1997) and I Got the Hook Up (1998).
In recent years he has focused on community work in New Orleans, offering free studio time and mentorship to local artists and taking part in gun buyback programs.
