Mons
Mons is the Walloon capital of Hainaut, built around a 17th-century Baroque belfry and a pedestrian Grand-Place in an old town dating to the 12th century. It is best known for the Doudou, a Trinity Sunday procession and dragon-fight pageant recognised by UNESCO, and for the 1914 and 1918 battles fought nearby.
