The curious Schaf agrees enthusiastically and looks forward to the little adventure. On the shared sleigh ride the two grow closer, and Wolf finds Schaf quite nice, but his stomach growls miserably and, despite his almost friendly feelings, he looks forward to a juicy Schaf-Filet. In her children's book, Maritgen Matter addresses themes such as friendship, cohesion and the courage to take risks.
