Hamburger Winterdom 2026: 6 November to 6 December on the Heiligengeistfeld, Hamburg

It is the winter edition of the Hamburger DOM, the funfair the city stages three times a year, in spring, summer and winter, on the same ground. The organiser writes that the Winterdom brings a wintry, festive atmosphere to the Heiligengeistfeld and that for four weeks its stalls and attractions invite visitors to eat, marvel and join in. Details of the 2026 attractions and event highlights have not yet been published.

The fair is organised by the Behörde für Wirtschaft, Arbeit und Innovation, the Hamburg authority whose Abteilung Hamburger DOM, Hafengeburtstag, bezirkliche Märkte is responsible for the Heiligengeistfeld. The authority states that each DOM brings together 250 to 260 Schaustellergeschäfte, the travelling showmen's rides, games and food stands.

The city lists the DOM's opening hours as 15 to 23 Uhr from Monday to Thursday, 15 to 24 Uhr on Friday and Saturday, and 14 to 23 Uhr on Sunday. The address is Heiligengeistfeld, 20359 Hamburg.

Every Wednesday is Familientag: rides, amusement and game stalls offer reduced prices of up to 30 percent, and the DOM food stands add specials of their own. The DOM mascot, the bear Bummel, walks the DOM-Meile for selfies and photos, starting in front of the Riesenrad, on Wednesday from 16 to 18 Uhr and on Sunday from 15 to 17 Uhr; in rain the bear stays in. Families with small children can pick up a free Kinder-Finder wristband, on which parents write their mobile number, at the first stalls to the left and right of every entrance and at all children's rides.

By public transport the nearest stations are U2 Messehallen, U3 Feldstraße and U3 St.Pauli, plus the S-Bahn stops S1 / S3 Landungsbrücken and Reeperbahn. Knives and other weapons, including pocket knives, may not be carried onto the fairground, and security staff carry out checks at the entrances. Dogs are not permitted on the DOM, with the exception of guide dogs and service dogs.
